Name one of your fondest memories at Candy Apples.
My time here at Candy Apples has held so many fantastic memories ranging from dance till dawns and Dairy Queen days to competitions and recital parties. Our practices themselves have had many unforgettable memories. My all time favorite would have to be when Cathy tripped and fell over the random trash in the middle of the dance floor. I've never laughed so hard in my life!
What is something you would like to say to Cathy?
Although we have had our ups and downs, you have been one of the most influential people in my life. You have taught me so much over the years. There are not enough words to describe the appreciation I have for you. As I go on in life, you will always be a part of who I am, and I will never forget the time that we have shared together. Thank you for making me the best dancer I can be and for preparing me to do something great in life. You are an inspiration to me, and you have influenced me for the better.
What did you gain by dancing at Candy Apples?
Being an Apple has given me an extensive knowledge of dance and a lifetime of memories, but besides that, I have learned that hard work, dedication, and team work can lead to something glorious. I have also gained discipline, inspiration, and happiness in doing what I love. The most important thing I have gained from this studio is my CADC family. I love you all.
What was your hardest task to accomplish in dance?
Besides becoming flexible and learning technique, the hardest task for me to accomplish was doing fouette turns.
Words of encouragement?
Dance can be your outlet in life. Let it describe who you are and live in it. Enjoy every minute here at Candy Apples. The time goes by way too fast. Believe in yourself and hold nothing back. Just let go and let the music move you. In the words of Walt Disney, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
As your last will and testament, what would you like to bequeath to a certain student?
To Sarah Parish, Erika Schrade, Kerisa McCullough, and Taylor O'Lear, I leave my love and dedication to dance. Live your lives to the fullest; never forget who you are; and keep the true spirit of Candy Apples alive.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

When I came in my freshman year and did hip-hop with my foreign exchange student "Tereza" because she loved to dance and if it weren't for that, I wouldn't be as talented as I am at dance today.
What is something you would like to say to your teachers?
Cathy, I remember when you came up to me after winning Canton Idol. You said "I need you." I was scared out of my mind and yet simultaneously enthralled with excitement, I came to dance and sing with you and I could see as I progressed in skill, your likeness towards me only increased. Yes, there were times I was scared crazy, but I realized what you gave me and have given me are skills, respect, and maturity I will need in the future as I have been a representative for one of the best studios out there. Thank you for everything.
Words for Jay-J:
You may be a bit passive, but you have taught me so much more than anyone else I know. I appreciate your permission you gave me to be your assistant in class. You always were so kind to me and even though you would tease me and mess with me, the dances you have taught me have always filled me with joy. I am sure I will see you here and there.
What was your hardest task to accomplish in dance?
My hardest task with Candy Apple's was mixing educational needs, dancing, and singing together and making sure none were neglected, but I did it correctly and appreciate all the support I was given in the process of when I was overworked and exhausted.
Words of encouragement?
For those that think that "I don't dance all the time, so I can't be the best," don't accept defeat, if you have the determination and passion, you can become as good as you want to be. Take what you can and use it to your fullest, never feel obsolete.
